Compliance Specialist

Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) in 1995.  During college Matt worked for a few local hospitals in the radiology departments and transported patients.

In 1997 Matt began his professional career with a leading health insurance carrier, Aetna US Healthcare, where he managed small, medium and national accounts in the Inland Empire.  Realizing he could provide better service to his clients by joining a brokerage, he went to work for one of the largest insurance brokers on the west coast, Armstrong & Robitaille.  There he helped to implement one of the first ISO 9000 certifications in the insurance broker community.

After working several years on the carrier and broker side, Matt started Hamrock Insurance Services in 2001 and provides professional employee benefit advice for small and medium sized employers.  He specializes in the unique laws that govern these markets and offers the service that these companies need and deserve.

Matt spent his early years as an accomplished pianist and studied both classical and jazz theory and composition for over twelve years.  Matt accompanied his high school choir and even performed in several musicals.  He also competed in professional classical competitions, where he placed in the top ranking at the Biola Bach Festival.

Matt lives in Aliso Viejo, CA with his wife, Joyce and son, Max.
